| In recent years, with the air transport industry developing, price competition in the market became intensified. Many domestic and foreign airlines have already adopted revenue management tech to improve the management level, to improve their operating level and increase the earnings, which make sure to win the battle of survival and development space in the fierce competition market. Class seats inventory control problem play an important role in the airline revenue management, and it’s reasonable and effective use can not only meet the demand of different tourists, but also makes sure of obtaining maximum profits of the airline.So the research of seats inventory control problem is necessary and integrant.In this dissertation, based on the domestic airlines’ distinguishing feature which is more than three-leg,it mainly study the inventory optimization problem based on EMSU which is proposed In recent years. This paper firstly introduces the research situation of the class inventory method, and shows the necessity of the research in EMSU inventory optimization problem. Secondly, this paper introduces the relevant concepts about revenue management systematically, which includes the generation and development of revenue management, and the content and direction of recent research and applications. Especially focusing on the research and analysis of the classical mathematical programming model of the seat inventory control. Thirdly, based on the expect marginal seat utility(EMSU) and traditional virtual “bucket” approach, this paper presents the dynamic multi-leg seat inventory optimization model. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. Fourthly, above the established model, this paper uses the thinking of discount to build two improved multi-leg optimal control models. By the simulation contrast, the simulation result shows that this two improved approaches are effective and feasible. |
