The Study On Development Strategy Of Guodian United Power Technology Company Limited

In the past thirty years of reform and opening up, with rapid economy growth and sharp increase of energy consumption, the resources and environmental carrying capacity of China are close to the cap. In the future, large quantities of energy supply is required for the development of China's national economics and society, which means,the only solution is transferring the traditional energy supply system to clean low-carbon energy system.Renewable energy is recognized as low carbon, clean, environmentally friendly energy, and wind energy is an important direction of which. Wind power is easily commercialized, the most mature technology, with the largest development potential,and the largest possibility to taking the pillar role of renewable energy. With the national planning guidelines, policy support and market demand, the wind business has made a rapid growth in the 21 th Century, and formed a relatively complete wind power industry system. The rich wind resources, the ability to meet the market demand, has laid a solid foundation for wind business development, and create good environment for wind business development power to meet energy demand, environmental protection and pollution emissions play a greater role.Guodian United Power Technology Company Limited, the subsidiary of China Guodian Corporation, mainly engaged in the R&D, manufacturer, sales of wind turbines, as well as wind resources development, and O&M of wind farm. Taking UP as the research object, guided by the strategic theory, using the general method and the analytical model of the strategic research, this paper will analyze the external macro environment, the industry competition situation, the internal resources condition and the ability factors, and will propose a concrete development goal and the implementation suggestion to realize the sustainable development, with SWOT analysis tool to determine the best strategic choice.Through in-depth analysis of the external environment and internal resource capabilities of United Power, and the strategic plan based on SWOT matrix, this paper makes the comprehensive targets: "taking the technology and innovation as the competitive advantage, focusing on the whole machine business, transferring frommanufacturer to solution suppliers of design research, technology integration, product assembling and technical service. Meanwhile, this paper provide three strategic objectives: technology advantages strategy, focusing on the overall strategy and service transition strategy, as well as proposed six implementation recommendations and safeguard measures.
