In recent years, China has paid more attention to developing the secondary vocational education vigorously. It's both an opportunity and a challenge for the secondary vocational education. The crucial and first task for secondary vocational schools is to raise high qualified and skilled talents who can adapt to regional economic and social development. However, they have met many problems in raising accounting majors. The students can't meet the need of enterprises, because they, with low rate of "double certificate", haven't had enough abilities in real work or adapting to related positions. Therefore, we must adhere to the vocational education guiding ideology ------- service as tenet, employment as the guidance, ability as the standard, student-oriental, so as to keep pace with regional economic and social development.This paper is based on the study of cultivation of the accounting major students' special abilities in secondary vocational schools. The first part is an introduction which refers to the research background, research purpose and significance, the research status at home and abroad, the thoughts and methods of research, and stressing on the purpose and meaning of this research. The second part expounds the psychology, philosophical and educational theory of the cultivation of students' special abilities; and also defines the concept of the ability, the professional ability, and the accounting professional abilities. The third part expounds all the aspects of the accounting professional abilities in details. The fourth part discusses about the current situation of the secondary vocational accounting major students. The fifth part is the most important part that clarifies secondary vocational accounting major typical work tasks, sets the modular curriculum system, talks about the integration of teaching and construction of "double division type" accounting professional accounting practice, attaches importance to teachers, strengthens the campus and off-campus practice guidance and so on. It points out main countermeasures of cultivating the ability of professionals. The sixth part is conclusion. The accounting majors in the Secondary vocational schools should be in accordance with the regional economic and social development needs. The curriculum and teaching contents should be determined by required job abilities, which can help to strengthen students' practical abilities and professional skills. Teachers must adopt flexible and varied teaching methods, creatively carry out teaching activities, and effectively foster students' ability of accounting professional.
