Research On The Intangible Assets Appraisal Of Passenger Transport Company

Intangible assets refer to those invisible assets that are owned or controlled by enterprises and can bring economic benefits for the enterprise.Nowadays,intangible assets have been the key to improve the core competitiveness.With the further opening-up policy and the rapid development of economy,intangible assets has been more and more crucial in the process of the commercial mergers and acquisitions,restructuring,and other commercial activities.Fortunately,our government begins to pay more attention to this problem.Especially in recent years,it has been common that scholars appeal to protect intangible assets and improve the quality of assessment.Obviously,that is a great progress for our country.At present,China's transportation industry has been developing rapidly.While obtaining a series of great achievements,at the same time,the intangible assets and the achievement has been become a powerful engine to get excess profits.However,at present,managers of enterprises in our country,especially passenger transport enterprises,doesn't pay too much attention on the value of intangible assets and lack of effective ways of cultivating intangible assets.In this case,the contribution ratio of intangible assets for the benefit of the enterprise is very small.In modern passenger transport enterprises,therefore,how to strengthen the management and protection of the intangible assets has become an urgent problem to be solved to get a further development.This paper aims to evaluate the value of intangible assets in the process of transferring Passenger Transport Company,hoping to provide the appraisal result in order to draw the attention of the managers to protect their intangible assets.This article will carried on deep study on intangible assets in the theoretical and empirical way.In terms of theory,this article will have a deep discussion on the definition of intangible assets,the present situation of the research on intangible assets and different approached to assess the intangible assets.Combined with the actual case,company H,this paper will try to evaluate intangible assets.The method that was chosen to evaluate is method of income approach,which is the most commonly used to assess intangible assets.Furthermore,on the basis of the income method,the essay selected the Gap Method,namely,after calculating the income gap between when intangible assets contribute to the company and when it doesn't.And the income gap is right the value of intangible assets.This essay will also study about the present situation of the development of the intangible assets in our country.What's more,the essay will also discuss the problems about intangible assets in the process of development.Last but not least,some recommendations will be put forward to solve the problems that our country encounters.
