| The Urban areas in cities of China begin to sprawl since the reform and opening along with a lot of problems.Compact city is considered as efficient、environment-friendly、 energy-saving and sustainable,it will conduct the development of cities in China.In this paper,we adopt the comprehensive index evaluation method to study the changes of city compactness in Changchun from the year of 2000 to 2012 and the results indicate that the city compactness of Changchun seem to go on rising during this period.And we also did some research into the city efficiency of Changchun using the data envelopment analysis model to find out the relationship between city compactness and city efficiency in Changchun.In the end,we list some factors associated with city compactness and give some advice.We use comprehensive index evaluation method to study city compactness of Changchun and we choose 18 indicators from four different aspects:population、economy、land-use and traffic.By using SPSS,we find the results that city compactness of Changchun seem to go on rising during this period which can be divided into three stages:low level development stage、 stage of fluctuations and rapid development stage.In order to figure out the relationship between city compactness and city efficiency in Changchun,here we use double line chart and SPSS.First,we choose 5 indicators as input index including city built-up ares、employed persons in units、on-post staff and workers、 expenditure on local finance general budget and social fixed assets investment.Meanwhile we choose 4 indicators as output index including revenue on local finance general budget、gross domestic product、total retail sales of consumer goods and ares of urban green space.According to the results from DEA model,we finish a double line chart and a correlation analysis which shows no significant correlation between city efficiency and city compactness.In the end of the paper,we list some factors associated with city compactness and give some advice. |
