Study On Outward Foreign Direct Investment Of Chongqing Entreprises Based On Analytic Hierachy Process

With the development of Foreign Direct Investment of China, there are more and more corporations participating in the competition of this international activity. And the question on how to get FDI better developed has become a research focus. Chongqing, located in the area of Western China, is one of its four municipalities as well as the power for the economic prosperity of the whole West in China. Besides, in recent years, Chongqing has been a crucial element for the development of “One Belt One Road” and “Maritime Silk Road”. So this time calls for the research on Chongqing Foreign Direct Investment in order to instruct the enterprises to select the investment location more scientifically. Actually, there have appeared a variety of academic researches on China' FDI, but most of them study from the macroeconomic perspectives and discuss the strategies to invest between countries and few have paid enough attention towards the local FDI into overseas countries. This is because of the difficulty in collecting detailed and specific data. So this essay studies the location selection of Chongqing enterprises based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) which is technically an analysis method put forward by American Strategist Saaty in 1977 Therefore this easy will enrich the current research on the field of FDI.The essay consists of 5 parts: the first chapter is an introduction of the research topic, including its historic significance, the research method and the present researches of this topic in China. The second chapter is to lay the theoretic foundation for the entire essay, which includes the theories about Foreign Direct Investment as well as those on Location Selection. The third chapter is to analyze the economic situation and OFDI development of Chongqing at this moment, from which Chongqing should look for the relative advantage in the aspect of OFDI. The forth chapter is the actual and detailed use of AHP to analyze the process of location selection, which can be easily understood and put into realistic practice. To conclude, the fifth chapter is to make suggestion for enterprises and the government in order to gain better development in OFDI.
