With the continuous development of modern communications and Internet+technologies,and the limited space requirements in different environments,higher requirements are proposed for antenna performance.To make the antenna satisfy the requirements of both multi-function switchability and easy conformity,the flexible material and the reconfigurable antenna are combined to form a reconfigurable antenna based on a flexible material.The flexible reconfigurable antenna not only has the advantages of flexibility,good fit with the carrier,easy installation,effective space saving,and small system volume,but also can use an antenna in a multi-functional wireless system to achieve the function of multiple single antennas.Therefore,the research of flexible reconfigurable antennas has important significance in today's complex environment.This paper focuses on reconfigurable antennas and flexible reconfigurable antennas,the main works and achievements are as follows:Firstly,the background of reconfigurable antennas and the significance of researches on reconfigurable antennas based on flexible materials are introduced.The research status of reconfigurable antennas,flexible materials,and reconfigurable antennas based on flexible materials at home and abroad is summarized.The basic performance parameters of the antenna,the reconfigurable antenna design theory and the basic theory of flexible antenna bending performance are introduced.Secondly,designed a frequency reconfigurable antenna by loading PIN switch on multiple branches and designed a pattern reconfigurable antenna by rotating a monopole to form multiple radiating elements and loading PIN switches on feed network,which are based on the multi-frequency antenna design and the principle of monopole antenna.Two reconfigurable antennas are designed.One is a tri-state dual-band frequency reconfigurable antenna for Bluetooth,WiMAX,and WLAN.The other is a Windmill-shaped pattern reconfigurable antenna that is formed by rotating a triangular patch with a feeder.The radiator and the feed network are switched by controlling the PIN diode switches loaded on the radiating patch,the radiation direction of the antenna can switch at three directions(?(28)60~?,?(28)180~?,?(28)300~?).Finally,frequency,pattern,and composite reconfigurable antennas are designed based on flexible materials,and we studied the influence of the flexible reconfigurable antenna on the performance of the antenna when it is bent in a certain manner under different working conditions.Three reconfigurable antennas based on flexible material were designed.One antenna is a flexible frequency reconfigurable antenna that can work at three different states for the 2.4G and 5.3G bands;One antenna is a pattern reconfigurable antenna for the 2.4G band operating in two radiation directions(?(28)30~?,?(28)330~?).The other is a flexible frequency and pattern complex reconfigurable antenna.The antenna can achieve frequency reconfiguration at the 1.9G band and the 2.4G band,and in each band,the antenna can realize the switch of the pattern in two directions.In addition,it is verified that the antenna increases the bending degree,and the resonance frequency and the bandwidth are shifted toward the low frequency,and the direction of the radiation pattern is rotated in a particular direction,and a good reconfigurability can still be achieved within a certain range.
