The image processing based on the biological visual perception mechanism includes the knowledge of cognitive science,computer vision and so on,and it is an interdisciplinary subject with rich content.By studying the principles and characteristics of biological vision,some knowledge of biological vision is applied to real life production to solve the problems in image processing.Compared to humans,some animals have excellent performance in certain perceptual abilities,such as in biological vision.Based on this,this paper studies the visual mechanism of animals to solve some of the problems that still exist in the image engineering.Rattlesnakes have two types of visual organs,which can be divided into visible and cheek-like infrared eyes,and it is found that there are six modes of neurons in the top cover of a dual-mode neuron that processes infrared and visible light signals.The information received by rattlesnakes in the course of predation requires the processing of these six kinds of neurons to complete the predation process.Therefore,it will play an important role in the development of the whole image fusion theory to apply the working mechanism of six kinds of fusion mode neurons to the image fusion process.The content of this paper is to solve the problem of fusion of infrared light and visible light image,at present the image fusion method mainly includes pixel weighted average,HIS transform and so on in spatial domain to the pixel value processing method as well as Laplace Pyramid transform,wavelet transform and so on multiresolution analysis fusion method.But these methods always have their own advantages and disadvantages.The visible light image usually contains more texture and color information,and the infrared image contains more details about contour information.In this paper,the combination of high and low frequency information of IR and visible images in frequency domain is proposed,which can effectively combine the advantages of two images,and can enlarge and enhance the image information.It is superior to the traditional method in detail,contrast and so on.
