The research on grid frequency has important value in the field of power system analysis.It shows the balance of supply and demand of active power in the power grid,and the power quality largely depends on the frequency stability.The research on the frequency distribution characteristics of wide-area power grid has achieved some important results,but most of the research is based on the simulation analysis of traditional power system theoretical model.The study based on the actual power grid data has not attracted enough attention.With the gradual popularization and upgrading of smart grids,many power grid data have been accumulated in modern power systems.It has important research value to find useful information from these complex power data.At present,data mining technology has been made great progress,and been widely used in many fields of production and life.All countries in the world have invested a great deal of research and development resources in data mining technology.With the advent of the information age,the importance of big data analysis has also been increasingly valued by all walks of life in China.Applying data mining technology in the power industry to make the massive grid data play an important role has become an important development direction in the current power system research field.Thanks to the effective application of the phasor measurement unit,people can more accurately obtain the power system data information,which reflects the operation situation of the power system.In view of the important value of frequency in the power system,this paper studies the frequency distribution characteristics of the wide area network based on data mining technology.The main work includes the following aspects:(1)Based on time series data mining technology,using the time series model analysis method,the frequency data of the wide area power grid is modeled and analyzed,which provided important reference for parameter modification and model construction of the traditional power system simulation model.At the same time,the difference characteristics and timing patterns of frequency distribution in the wide area network are discovered.(2)Applying the cross-correlation function analysis method,this paper discovers the space-time characteristics of the frequency distribution in the wide-area network intuitively and clearly,and the feasibility and effectiveness of the time-series data mining technology used in the grid frequency data analysis are verified.(3)Using the KNN(K-Nearest Neighbor)classification algorithm which is commonly used in data mining,the paper successfully classifies the frequency data of each node in the wide area network,and finally the frequency distribution characteristics of the power grid are revealed in the form of images.The reader is presented with the complete process of data mining,and this has certain reference value for the application and promotion of this technology in the grid frequency data analysis.
