Massive Multiple-input Multiple-out(Massive MIMO)technology obtains more spatial degrees of freedom by deploying plenty of antennas at base station, which promotes system capacity and spectral efficiency significantly and can effectively meet the requirement of users for mass data. But large number of antennas will inevitably increase energy consumption and complexity of system implementation, which violates the concept of green communication. As a novel single radio frequency link transmission technology, spatial modulation(SM)has obvious advantages on energy efficiency and transceiver design complexity, applies to the system equipped massive antennas, which makes it be the hotspot technology in future wireless communication system.Signal detection is very important for SM,the performance of detection algorithm has a significant impact on the overall performance of SM system.Based on massive MIMO scenarios, the detection algorithms for SM system at the receiver are studied in this thesis, and two optimized signal detection algorithms are proposed. The main works and innovation points in this thesis are as follows:1.A Improved maximum likelihood(Improved-ML)detection algorithm is proposed on the basis of ML algorithm. This algorithm reduces the calculated amount of vertical search branch by modifying the ML expression, which decreases the overall computational complexity of ML algorithm. The Improved-ML algorithm retains the detecting ideas of ML algorithm and has no loss in bit error rate(BER)performance.2.By combining the ideas of reducing calculated amount of Euclidean distance with receiver-centric sphere decoding(RX-SD)algorithm to propose a Improved RX-SD(Improved-RX)algorithm.Different from RX-SD algorithm, the sub search radius is brought in Improved-RX algorithm to restrict the search space except for the initial radius. The proposed algorithm can retain near-optimal BER performance while reducing the computational complexity.3.Based on massive MIMO scenarios, the detection performance of newly proposed improved algorithm and existing classical algorithms for SM are compared, and their own detection characteristics are studied in-depth,finally,a detecting scheme for SM applicable massive MIMO scenarios is presented. The theoretical analysis andsimulation results show that Improved-RX algorithm has better detection performance than other classical detection algorithms, and it is pretty suitable for massive MIMO scenarios.
