With the wide-range commercial use of LTE/LTE-A systems,the related technologies of LTE/LTE-A have achieved rapid development.However,there is still much room for improvement in reducing energy consumption in the LTE/LTE-A system.In order to reduce energy consumption at the UE,a technology called Discontinuous Reception Mechanism DRX is introduced in the LTE/LTE-A system.However,the discontinuous reception mechanism DRX used in the existing LTE/LTE-A system cannot flexibly adapt to various services and can not minimize the energy consumption at the UE.Therefore,how to improve the DRX mechanism and how to flexibly configure the relevant parameters of the DRX to reduce the energy consumption while ensuring the UE delay has become a hot topic of research today.This thesis focuses on the DRX mechanism in the LTE/LTE-A system and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the standard DRX algorithm and the different DRX optimization algorithms.Then,according to the different states of the RRC layer on the UE,the EIDRX(Enhanced IDLE DRX)algorithm is designed and the algorithm of EIDRX(Enhanced IDLE DRX)is designed and calculated.The algorithm improves the standard ACTIVE DRX algorithm,and designs the EADRX(Enhanced ACTIVE DRX)algorithm,which is described as follows.When the UE is in the RRC_IDLE state,the EIDRX algorithm makes full use of the information of the degree of busyness of the data transmission and reception when the UE is in the RRC_CONNECTED state.Based on the game theory,the UE can determine its own IDLE DRX cycle.At the same time,the OEIDRX algorithm is designed for the case where the selected IDLE DRX cycle may be too small,which can adaptively adjust the IDLE DRX cycle.Through simulation and verification,compared with the standard IDLE DRX algorithm,the OEIDRX algorithm can effectively reduce the delay of the UE in the IDLE state,and also reduce the UE energy consumption.When the UE is in the RRC_CONNECTED state,the ETSI data traffic model is used,and the Markov chain is used for modeling work.The relationship between performance and related parameters under Active DRX is analyzed through the Markov State Transfer Equation,and the simulation is performed on the Matlab platform.The influence of different parameters on performance was simulated.Based on this,an adaptive ACTIVE DRX algorithm-EADRX algorithm based on state jump is designed.The EADRX algorithm can determine the relevant DRX parameters based on the service data interacted with by the UE.Finally,the simulation proves that the EADRX algorithm can significantly reduce the UE energy consumption and extend the UE usage time based on a limited increase in delay.
