With the advantages of all-time/all-weather capable,low blind distance,high energy,high resolution,portable and easy to set up,FMCW radar system is usually used in Surface Movement Radar applications.Based on surface movement target parameter estimation,this paper discusses the principle of FMCW radar and parameter design method,designs the radar parameters and completes the development of the Surface Movement Radar system.There are two FMCW waveforms: saw tooth wave and triangle wave.The signal processing and parameter estimation methods of these waveforms are discussed in this paper.Aiming at the problem of multiple target pairing error of triangle wave,the constrains and parameter estimation methods on correctly paring are studied.When human stays in the surface,it is difficult to distinguish human with other disruptors only by the HRRP.Therefore,other characteristics,such as human respiratory characteristics,need to be used to classify and identify human.Based on FMCW radar,the extraction of micro characteristic of vibration targets from the one-dimensional range image is studied,which can successfully extract human respiratory characteristics and lays the foundation for the target classification of Surface Movement Radar.
