Elastography locates the lesion in tissue by quantify the elasticity of tissue accurately,aiding the diagnose of physicians.Based on optical coherence tomography(OCT),optical coherence elastography(OCE)is the third elastography method after ulstrasonography and magnetic resonance elastography,which is non-invasive,non-touched with high resolusion,hence has great potential in clinical usage.In this paper the pre-clinical study of blood vessel elastography based on OCE was carried out.Tissue simulating phantoms with given optical properties and mechanical properties were made to meet the need of OCE imaging.OCT imaging experiments were carried out to get the optical properties of phantoms,as well as OCE experiments to get the deformation information of phantoms,which was compared with the result of the simulation by finite element modeling.The mechanical properties for modeling were updated once and again till the deformation results from OCE experiment and simulation matched,when the true mechanical properties of phantom were found.With literature research the phantom material properties were studied to decide phantom substrate,scattering particles and protocol of making a phantom was decided.Phantoms with different materials were made.The principle of optical path matching was used to measure the refractive index of different phantoms.The impact of the concentrations of substrate and scattering particles to the refractive indices and attenuation coefficients of OCE phantoms were studied,separately.The OCE experiment with static load was carried out.The outline of phantom in OCT images were extracted with ImageJ,based on which a finite element model(FEM)was built up.The image of strain,stress and displacement were calculated and compared with those results from OCE experiments,based on which to update the input of FEM model till the deformation results from OCE experiment and simulation matched,when the true mechanical properties of phantom were found.The OCE based blood vessel elastic detection method was proposed in this paper,with reasonable results in phantom experiments.
