In recent years,with information interacting between human and machine has become more and more frequent,researchers tried to apply the idea of software defined network in optical transport network,and proposed software defined optical network(SDON)to improve the flexible management ability.As the brain of SDON,the controller uses a standardized protocol to install the forwarding rules in the switches.With the gradual expansion of network scale,single controller has been unable to meet the needs of network performance.Therefore,there need to be distributed multiple controllers to manage collaboratively the network and improve the performance of network.This paper focuses on the SDON multi controllers placement problem,starting from the synergistic relationship among multiple controllers.And it explores the interaction process and controller deployment mechanism of data flows in the network,and it studies controller placement algorithms deeply focus on high delay and controller load balancing problems,communication cost and optimization of load balancing in target complete the key technology breakthrough.The main work and innovation results of this paper are as follows:Firstly,starting from the hierarchical architecture of SDON,we study the cooperative mechanism among controllers.We study the advantages and disadvantages of peer relationship and paternity relationship in planar and hierarchical architectures,and use better control layer architecture to improve network performance in specific networks.Secondly,based on the synergistic relationship among controllers,we study the advantages and disadvantages of peer relationship and paternity.We focus on the controller deployment scenario and establish the data processing time in SDON controller based on queueing network.The combination of transmission delay and controller of the data stream processing delay definition of SDON delay cost,put forward the hierarchical controller placement(HCP)algorithm to reduce the number of cut edges for inter domain objects in the network,reduce the number of cross domain data flow in SDON,with the minimum the communication cost for the controller deployment location to determine the objective function.Compared with other algorithms,the delay cost of HCP algorithm reduced by 26.2%.Thirdly,according to the controller load imbalance problem which is result of the network data flow distribution dynamic changing,the paper constructs the load balancing model.Combined with migration cost and load difference variation,the paper defines switch transfer efficiency,the paper puts forward switch migration based controller placemnet(SMBCP)algorithm.SMBCP maximizes the migration efficiency of the switch and ensures the immediacy and reliability of the service transmission in the network.Compared with other traditional algorithms,the SMBCP algorithm improves the effect of load balancing optimization by 53.2%.
