The damage caused by the corrosion of the collection of cultural relics can not be estimated. The corrosive gases in the museum will accelerate the corrosion of the collection of artifacts.Quickly detect the corrosion rate of artifacts in there preservation environment, identify the main corrosive gases that cause corrosion of different artifacts and understand the corrosive effects and mechanisms of these corrosive gases on the artifacts materials can help museum manager to make reasonable preventive measures. At present, the common method for detecting the effect of corrosive gases on the artifacts is the metal coupon method. The measurement time is slow, which takes up to six months or more. Moreover, the studies on comparing different metal artifacts affected by different corrosive gases are lack of research. In response to the above problems, the main research work of this thesis includes:Aiming at the problem of trace detection of metal corrosion(microgram and even nanogram)in the traditional metal coupon measurement technology under the environment of collection cultural relics, this thesis uses Quartz Cristal Microbalance(QCM)sensor which has a high sensitivity, based on the design of three typical metallic cultural relics such as silver, copper and lead, implementes a small, low power, wireless corrosive gas monitoring system based on the multi-parameter QCM sensor array detection technology. In this paper, the corrosion process and corrosion rate of QCM sensor with three different metal thin films, such as silver, copper and lead, were investigated under different single corrosive gas.Experiments show that HCHO has the most obvious effect on the corrosion of lead among the common indoor corrosive gases(SO2,NO2,H2S,NH3 and HCHO),and H2S affects the corrosion of silver and copper(especially copper)significantly,The corrosion rate increases with the concentration of polluting gas,NH3 has no effect on the corrosion of all three metals. The system is currently applied to the monitoring of the ambientair quality of cultural relics in the Chinese Silk Museum. The above experimental study has laid a good foundation for further exploring the corrosion mechanism of different kinds of metal artifacts in a variety of corrosive gas composite environments,as well as real-time monitoring and evaluation of environmental quality under the above complex environment.
