Global mobile communications services tends to be diversified, which makes the demand for transmitting large data traffic increasingly grow. However, the current frequency bandwidth below 6GHz has been occupied by many wireless communications services. The use of high-frequency(over 6 GHz)bandwidth has become a key research area of 5th Generation(5G)mobile communication technology.Compared to the frequency below 6GHz,high-frequency wireless communication environment is more complex.Establishing a system-level simulation platform to assess the performance of candidate key technologies is crucial to developing 5G international standards. The high-frequency channel model is the basis for evaluating 5G key technologies.Hybrid beamforming has become one of the key technologies of 5G because of its compensation for extra path loss in high-frequency band and improvement of system capacity.High-frequency channel model and hybrid beamforming are the main contents of this paper. The topic of this paper is derived from National Planed Major Science and Technology Project "5G international standard overall program development and advancement." Based on the Long Term Evolution-Advanced(LTE-A)system-level simulation platform, this paper carried on the simulation design and realization of high-frequency channel model and hybrid beamforming, studied the performance of hybrid beamforming under the additional features of high-frequency channel.Firstly, the paper studied the 5G mobile communication technologies, summarized the research status of high-frequency channel model, beamforming technology and communication system simulation platform.Secondly, the paper chosed blockage and movement as the focal point of high-frequency additional features, elaborated the overall design of simulation development about the high-frequency channel model, completed the simulation of basic high-frequency channel model and two high-frequency additional features under the guidance of the design idea. This paper uses the average of simulation data of more than ten research institutes including Huawei and Intel provided by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project(3GPP)proposal as calibration reference data and completed the verification of the channel model function. Finally, based on the development of high-frequency channel model, the paper simulated and calibrated the hybrid beamforming proposed in 3 GPP,and separately studied the hybrid beamforming performance under the blockage and movement. The simulation results show that the blockage will reduce the hybrid beamforming spectral efficiency gain. When the beam reselection period and the user equipment(UE)moving speed are selected appropriately, the performance of the hybrid beamforming under movement can be balanced with that without considering movement.
