Network slicing is considered as an ideal paradigm for the architecture of the upcoming 5G mobile networks, which can enable operators to create multiple virtual end-to-end logical networks on a physical network substrate,in order to provide optimized solutions for various application scenarios with different requirements.Under this background, this paper studies the resource allocation algorithm for network slicing in radio access networks from two aspects of control plane and data plane respectively. In addition, this paper also studies the design of the relevant radio access protocols from the perspective of implementation. At present, although resource allocation for network slicing in data plane has been investigated in the literature, the configuration of control plane resources has not been discussed adequately. The random access is one of the most important control functions at the media access control layer, and it also faces many new demands and challenges for the systems deploying network slices. It is a very crucial issue to make a reasonable tradeoff between two conflicting goals of isolation and efficient resource utilization. Therefore, this paper studies the optimal configuration of the random access resources in the process of random access, and proposes an efficient scheme to configure random access preambles between network slices as needed.Mathematical derivation and experimental simulation verify that the proposed scheme can not only provide differentiated random access performance for each network slice, but also improve the utilization of resources under the premise of ensuring a certain degree of isolation, thus improving the random access performance of the overall system. In addition,an important purpose of network slicing is to realize flexible sharing of physical resources.Only by using the optimal resource allocation strategy can the limited resources be utilized to create greater benefits. Therefore, how to effectively share resources among multiple network slices and provide quality service for slice users is a very important research issue. This paper studies the resource allocation problem in the downlink of the cloud radio access network.Firstly, the utility function that characterizes the wireless transmission performance of the network slice is given. Then a joint wireless subcarrier and power assignment algorithm is proposed. Finally, the simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm significantly outperforms other candidates, which can satisfy the customized preference of network slice in terms of bandwidth gain and power cost, and maximize the wireless transmission efficiency of the system. Finally, based on the study of 3GPP specification, this paper enhances the key protocols of radio access in order to provide support for the implementation of network slicing.Firstly, the design of the uplink scheduling process at media access control layer is improved, and two corresponding solutions for the processes of buffer state reporting and scheduling grant indicating are proposed respectively. Then,an improved scheme for the automatic neighbor relation function is proposed to acquire the network slice availability information of the neighboring cells. It can help the base station to handover the terminal user to the cell capable of supporting the required network slice and reduce the delay of handover.
