In the continuous promotion of head-up display applications,the distortion of the HUD image needs to be corrected for distortion.Calibration methods often take pre-distortion compensation method.But how to evaluate the quality of the HUD image pre-distortion and the distortion correction unit of under the unstable working conditions has caused some problems.Therefore,it is very important to study the corresponding image quality assessment techniques and system fault tolerance testing methods.In this paper,image similarity measurement techniques,fault injection techniques were studied in depth.Finally,a series of test methods of HUD image distortion correction unit are proposed and a set of HUD image distortion correction unit test system is designed.The paper firstly studies the causes and characteristics of the distortion of the HUD image and understands the principle of the pre-distortion compensation for the correction.Moreover,the paper analyzes the predistortion characteristics of HUD image and the type of image output.After consulting a large number of documents on the similarity measure between images and fault injection technology,the algorithm of image similarity and the principles of fault injection are further understood.According to the predistortion characteristic of HUD image,an image similarity algorithm is designed.In this algorithm,the global image feature analysis is based on the image Hu moments and the local image feature analysis is based on the Euclidean distance.This improved algorithm can detect the output pre-distortion test images and pre-distortion theory template image Similarity recognition,and determine the output status of the image type.In addition,the hardware fault injection method was modeled by fault injection in this paper.The design of video fault video module and VESA fault pull-off fault module were completed.In order to achieve the image similarity measurement technology and fault injection technology,this paper also designed and developed a set of HUD image distortion correction unit test system based on Kintex-7 FPGA core processor.The test system can input images to the unit waiting for testing.It can receive high-speed image cache and video display.Test platform and test IPC communicated via Gigabit Ethernet.The test system receives pre-distorted images of non-standard RGB signals and performs standard VESA timing conversions.At last,the system completes the imagesimilarity measurement analysis and image output quality type judgment.Finally,the test system has completed the actual application verification.Through the connection of the HUD image distortion correction unit,the system measures the image similarityof the test image of the unit to be tested under the normal working environment and single fault and mixed fault working environment respectively.The experimental results show that the HUD image distortion correction unit has good predistortion performance and fault tolerance.At the same time,the test method and the designed test system in this paper have good applicability.It can objectively evaluate the pre-distortion HUD image quality and validate the fault-tolerant performance of the unit to be tested tested.
