In China,consumers'requirement for quality and quantity of goods is constantly improving,and labor costs is increasing rapidly,enterprise's desire for economic structure adjustment and upgrading of the industrial is more pressing[1],So in enterprise production,the use of PLC control system,industrial robot control system of automatic palletizing system instead of traditional manual operation,is the effective ways to improve the automation degree of enterprises and their own competitiveness.This paper designs an automatic palletizing system on the objects of pharmaceutical packaging boxes of different sizes.Using palletizing robot to carry product boxes to tray is a typical control system,it includes four parts as followings:The first part is the mechanical design of whole line.Part two involves the overall design of electric control system.Part three covers a palletizing robot control system design.The last part is the design of operation monitoring and controlling program of automatic palletizing system,it refers to the hardware network configuration and interface design for the whole system.The article mainly elaborates the work of following aspects:1.Setting forth the background and research status on robot palletizer and PLC control system.Having a detailed analysis on current conditions and developing tendency of PLC used in the field of logistics transportation.And then the significance of this subject study is presented.2.Projecting the automatic palletizing system by Rockwell PLC,mainly including site layout of all devices,the hardware and software design of control system.The site layout embraces the arrangement of electric parts on two-dimensional drawing designed by mechanical engineer.Including the display and serial number of photoelectric switches,button boxes and the building of galvanized wires and so on.Hardware design includes selection of electric parts,I/O address assignment,outer wiring job,the drawing and standardization of electrical schematic diagram.Then conductinging the hardware integration by software RSlogix5000 on the basis of the site layout and the electrical schematic diagram,afterwards compile the ladder diagram program.Finally,communication software RSlinx is applied to carry through communication integration on Ethernet to achieve communicating junctions and data exchange between PLC control system and robot palletizer.3.The industrial robot IRB460 is chosen to conduct palletizing task.And a robot off-line simulation software ABB RobotStudio5.15 is applied to build workstation.As the same time,IRB460,tools,product boxes and other equipment are imported in this software to simulate the actual palletizing system.And the acquired data communicated with PLC and coordinates of important target points confirmed by field debugging are applied to ascertain the handling trajectory of product boxes.4.FactoryTalkViewStudio is a configuration software developed by Rockwell automation business,it is applied to established monitoring program of automatic palletizing system.The HMI of PanelViewPlus6 series is utilized to conduct hardware configuration and interface display of whole system.Many human-computer interfaces that are rich in operating modes are designed to realize the real time monitoring of running state,the real-time picture display of goods information,the timely alarm and display of error and failure for the whole electric control system.
