Motion capture is a technology to detect target motion and convert it into digital motion.The object of motion capture can be human or animal or object.The motion capture of human body is the most complex and valuable.Human motion capture system has extensive application prospects and considerable economic value in many fields,such as human-computer interaction and virtual reality.This manuscript focuses on the interactive mode of inputting body posture,studies a new method of whole body motion capture that supports cloud fusion,and realizes high precision and natural interaction.Using an attitude calculation algorithm based on inertial measurement unit(IMU),this study completed the research on the whole-body motion capture technology and wearable equipment for human body.The device adopts tree network structure,which is divided into three levels:sensor node,sink node and PC terminal.The sensor node is responsible for motion data collection of the each key parts of the whole human skeleton,and establishes communication connection with the sink node through RS485 wired communication mode.The sink node plays the role of network routing and is responsible for the configuration and management of the entire network.It guarantees time synchronization of the system.The sink node is also responsible for data reception and data processing.It receives the data of the sensing nodes connected to it,processes the data by using a gradient descent based multi-sensor fusion attitude calculation algorithm and then sends the calculation results to the mobile terminal or the PC through WIFI.Finally,the design has completed a motion capture device which support 24 sensor nodes mostly.The data update rate is up to 240Hz and the system time delay is lower than 16ms.
