Eye control technology is an important research field of human-computer interaction.It is widely used in user research,medical business,outdoor advertising analysis,elevator advertising analysis,virtual reality and so on.It has very important application research value.In this paper,a new pupil location algorithm based on eyeball model is proposed to solve the problem of the accuracy and stability of pupil localization in the normal rotation of the eye.Then,based on the proposed pupil location algorithm developed an eye control mouse software and experimental evaluation.The main research contents are as follows:(1)A new pupil location algorithm is proposed.Firstly,the contour of the pupil edge is extracted by the improved star ray method.Then,the eyelid occlusion is judged according to the eyeball model and the pupil position.If it does not exist,the positioning is finished.If present,an improved elliptic fitting algorithm is proposed for the second localization,and the correction of the pupil parameters is realized.So as to ensure the efficiency of the eyelid occlusion at the same time the precise location of the pupil.Experiments show that the proposed algorithm has a good positioning effect.(2)Based on the new pupil location algorithm and the line of sight tracking technology theory,developed an eye control mouse application software.The new human-computer interaction system consisting of the application software and the eye tribe eye tracker can replace the traditional mouse,and the user can control the movement of the cursor through the feature point(human's fixation point)motion and be able to perform blink detection.The test results show that the robustness of the system and the performance of the line of sight are good,and the developed software has certain practical significance and application value.
