Research And Realization Of AMOLED External Compensation System

AMOLED is an abbreviation for English name Active-matrix organic light emitting diode.Compared with the traditional LCD screen,AMOLED has more advantages than TFT LCD in terms of image quality,efficiency and cost.As for display efficiency,AMOLED has faster reaction,higher contrast and wider viewing angle,in addition,AMOLED has the characteristics of self luminous,without using backlight board,so it can be made thinner.With the development of AMOLED,the domestic panel manufacturers have begun to layout AMOLED mass production and related technologies.With the active investment in technology research and development by the panel manufactures,AMOLED production yield is increasing,so its panels will be more widely used in smart phone products.In the process of improving the yield,when the process and the corresponding equipment encounter bottlenecks,there is a way to improve the display,which makes compensation externally so that the display performance will be improved.This paper firstly introduces the research background and significance,then introduces the main process of AMOLED process and easily occurred problems in the process,and briefly discusses a common display problem caused by these technology,which is called Mura.Then we develop a corresponding Mura compensation system according to the existing technology,this system uses the optical characteristics of device sensing pixels to compensate for Mura,finally,data collection and experiments are carried out using existing modules.The results showed that:Mura external optical compensation system can fix several common Mura,optical data after the restoration of the screen display such as bright and color coordinates are basically not biased,but also can improve the image quality,enhance the user's visual experience,which makes useless screen into the one customers can accept,and it can also improve the yield rate.All specifications of the system can be achieved,and all the equipment is provided by the domestic,compared with imported equipment,the development cost is greatly reduced.
