Since 1966,Dr Charles K.Kao made a ground breaking that optical fiber can be used for information transmission of the great vision.He put forward the basic theory of optical fiber as transmission information carrier.Since then,one of the new era for the field of communications was beginning.The optical fiber communication and optical fiber sensing technology have been integrated into our daily lives.As more and more people demand for the optical fiber,the optical fiber manufacturing industry is facing more and more challenges.The manufacture of optical fiber has become a major problem in the field of optical fiber.This paper aims to design a new heating device which can meet the control demand different kinds of optical fiber in the laboratory.This paper aims to design a new heating device.First of all,a new heating device is designed by the SOLIDWORKS software.According to the drawing we need to select the resistance heating,on the basis of resistance heating system we need to select suitable materials for the heating device.After the completion of the design,we simulate the temperature field for the heating device and the heating element.Design the temperature of the heating device simulation by using ANSYS software.Simulate different speed insulation layer of the cooling water temperature distribution and different flow protective gas heater of the temperature distribution to gain the experiment requirements under the condition of the optimal experimental parameters.After that,we analyze the high temperature deformation of the optical fiber preform in the drawing process with POLYFLOW software.Simulate the single span optical fiber perform for the neck area deformation process and gain the temperature changes impact for the drawing preform.Finally,we test the heating temperature of the test for observing that if it can be stable heating and fast cooling in the actual work condition.Finally it is concluded that the heating device is designed to meet the requirements of expectations.This paper provided temperature simulation data of actual optical fiber drawing,which laid a foundation in the laboratory of optical fiber drawing.
