Forests are the main source of biodiversity and ecological balance. They provide many benefits while also playing an important role in soil and water conservation, plant and animal diversity, timber supply and other forest products. However, forest fires, pests and diseases and other unusual events have occurred, causing great threat to people's life and property safety. Therefore, the use of advanced means to achieve real-time monitoring of forest environment monitoring, protection of forest resources to maintain sustainable and stable development of society has a crucial role.Wireless Sensor Network(WSN)has the advantages of low cost, low power consumption, high precision,self-organization and distributed, and is widely used in the monitoring of forest environment.Wireless sensor network positioning technology is one of the most important application technology in wireless sensor network. In the process of environmental data measurement, the location of the sensor nodes is an important aspect of measuring data acquisition.A large number of nodes must determine the location information to carry out effective forest environment information monitoring. Therefore,it is necessary to take some methods to determine the location of each monitoring node in the network, and then get the actual geographic environment information. In this paper,we propose a signal strength path loss model fusing the logarithmic distance path loss model and the piecewise fitting model.According to the discrete coefficient of RSSI in different regions, firstly, the model divides the location area and establishes the RSSI path loss model.Secondly,a new path loss model which is more suitable for the actual environment is built by using the log path loss model and the piecewise fitting model. The new path loss model can be more precise by the model fusion and distance-measurement positioning in sub-regions.Finally,the K-means clustering algorithm is used to eliminate the location error. The WSN forest information monitoring system based on location information is mainly used to monitor the temperature, humidity and light intensity of forest environment with known location information by using wireless sensor network. The sensor node in the system is responsible for collecting the data of monitoring the temperature, humidity and light intensity of the forest area, and then transmitting the data to the Sink node, and finally sending it to the monitoring center through the Internet via GPRS.In order to prolong the service life and overall monitoring of the system, the system adopts the improved Collection Tree Protocol(CTP)to self-organize,and uses the Kriging interpolation algorithm to interpolate the dead zone of the sensorless nodes in the forest. After the test and the actual field test,it shows that the design of the positioning monitoring system to meet the needs of precision monitoring.
