With the vigorous development of the mobile communication industry and the widespread popularization of various smart mobile terminals, the traditional cellular network has hardly met the explosive growth of the number of mobile users and data needs.According to Cisco’s survey,90%of mobile data services will occur indoors. In order to solve the existing problems in indoor coverage and hotspot coverage,3 GPP proposes LTE-Hi(LTE-Hotspot/Indoor)technology in Release-12 based on LTE.While providing higher performance, higher efficiency, higher frequency band, and greater capacity,LTE-Hi also introduces more interference due to its application scenarios, limiting the further enhancement of LTE-Hi performance. To further improve the LTE-Hi system performance, enhance the user experience and increase the battery life of the mobile terminal, this paper studies the uplink power control of the LTE-Hi system. The paper studies the communication scenarios of LTE-Hi in cellular networks. If the LTE-Hi application is in a suburban scenario,a regular hexagonal network model may be used for system modeling. If the LTE-Hi application is in a residential area,a three-dimensional multi-layered network model may be used in system modeling. If the LTE-Hi application is in a hot spot area, you can use Poisson point distribution network model for system modeling.Because traditional mesh-like network models are too ideal,large-scale system-level simulations are needed to get network performance results. The Poisson point process can reflect the lower limit of network performance, and has good mathematical statistical characteristics conducive to analysis. Therefore,in the subsequent analysis,we mainly use Poisson point process to network LTE-Hi and avoid complicated system-level simulation. The paper studies the uplink power control in LTE-Hi system.Through the simulation analysis of the existing static uplink open loop power control based on path loss and the dynamic uplink open loop power control algorithm based on the path loss difference,an improved dynamic uplink power control scheme is proposed. The scheme first quantitatively analyzes the path loss compensation factor and the path loss difference threshold to determine the best parameter configuration in the current environment. Then the cell is divided into three areas:edge area,sub-edge area and center area, according to the difference between the minimum path loss and the average path loss of the user to the target cell base station and the neighboring cell base station. Finally, different path loss compensation factor is used in different regions to complete the open-loop power control.Simulation results show that the improved algorithm can further reduce interference from users in neighboring cells, improve user performance in cell edge and sub-edge areas and improve system coverage.Based on the uplink open loop power control, the paper also studies the uplink closed loop power control. It is confirmed that the uplink closed loop power control can further improve the user performance in the edge and sub-edge areas and further improve the system coverage.
