Composition Method And Applied Research On REST-based Web Service

Web Service Composition has become an inevitable trend of integrating the single and free Web Service in the internet.Even though Web Service Composition doesn`t have a standard definition,a conclusion could be drew by referencing to a large number of domestic and foreign related literature,thus Web Service Composition integrates Web Service from different sources through a certain way,the composited new service with a value-add features,and the new service out of developer`s control.In this paper we promote a composition method for Representation State Transfer(REST)-Based Web service by designing a set of Extensible Markup Language(XML)labels to realize the transformation from composition model to executable REST style Web service.The implementation of the REST-style Web Service Composition as follows: firstly,determining the necessary elements and abstracting Uniform Resource Identifier(URI)from REST-style Web Service codes created by the Jersey framework.Then,combining the definition of Web Service Composition and the necessary elements for composition logic and module,and the necessary elements to complete the service composition model to summarize a whole elements to design the Web Service Composition module by Xml Schema Definition(XSD).Finally,analysing the XML based on XSD module by dom4 J and using Java Reflection to design and release the new service execution to complete a new Web service.According to such a set of composition models,the design of composite services is RESTful.To ensure the low coupling and self-contained features of Web services after composition,the service call uses Java Reflection during the execution of new service that doesn`t make any change for service structure and function.In the Web Services Composition instance section,the REST-style Web Service Composition is applied for in the electronic album system that means the usability for the REST Service Composition.Users or developers could apply the proposed labels to describe the services information,according to the process of relationship between composite services to set the combination logic labels and the new service labels,and then transform to generate the new service according to the transformation method implemented in this article.The design and implementation of this paper based on the definition of service composition has the value-added features.Because of the service composition method is RESTful,the new service is scalable.
