In recent years,the development of cultural industries has gradually drawn the CPC Central Committee's attention.Building an important socialist country and promoting the rapid and healthy development of the cultural industry have become important research topics for the Fifth Plenary Session of the 13 th CPC Central Committee.As a new emerging industry emerging in recent years,cultural industry has strong vitality and competitiveness,and its own development has distinctive characteristics.As an important part of cultural industry,the development of the media industry requires the strong support of our government departments and homeopathic guidance.The purpose of these government initiatives is to promote the media industry toward a better direction.After a long period of development,China's cultural market has become saturated.Therefore,in order to further develop the media industry,going abroad and opening up overseas markets have become an important part of its development.In this process,overseas M&A is an important measure and an effective way to avoid the risk of the development of media enterprises.Through this method,the media enterprises in our country can integrate into the foreign cultural market faster,and at the same time reduce the external industry competition pressure.For the entire media industry,the purpose of overseas mergers and acquisitions is to learn foreign advanced management concepts and experiences of production and management through the commercial means of M&A in order to better serve the development of the domestic media industry.This article upholds the combination of practice and theory methodology to Phoenix Media acquisition of the United States PIL as an example,the Chinese and foreign persuasive scientific research theory applied to the case analysis,supported by the literature analysis,in order to promote China's cultural industries rationalization and scientificization of mergers and acquisitions.
