The reflector antenna can make directional single beam,but the electromagnetic wave is shielded by the antenna itself.Especially when it comes to multibeam antenna,as the number of feed sources increase,the feed occlusion problem is more serious.So the lens antenna is used in this situation.Romberg len is the most important len because it is symmetrical.It can make multibeam but there is no feed occlusion problem.The len is very hard to make and the price is very high.So a kind of plane len is put forward to achieve the function of making multibeam and beam scanning.The research status of multibeam antenna and lens antenna at home and abroad in the text.Introduce the working priciple and analysis method of several classical lens antennas.And then introduce the microstrip plane len in detail.Design a kind of microstrip plane len antenna in 6 GHz.By changing the length of the microstrip patches,the phase of the S21 can be changed.The size of the plane len is 242 mm ?242mm,the dielectric-slab is made using the FR-4 material,and the thickness of len is 5mm.The conclusion can be found that the focus point is 400 mm from the len by using ray tracing method and simulation tools.Design a kind of microstrip antenna in the frequency of 6 GHz using the FR-4 dielectric-slab.Its thickness is 1.6mm and its dielectric constant is 4.3.The length and width of radiation patches are 15.75 mm and 10.75 mm.The gain of the microstrip antenna is 4.6d B.Then,the planar lens with microstrip antenna as feed source is simulated.When put the antenna in the focus point,the gain can reach to 11.5d B.When the feed is moved at a translation distance of 35 mm and the rotation angle is 8 degrees,the beam can be deflected at 13 degrees.When the feed is moved at a translation distance of 50 mm and the rotation angle is 11 degrees,the beam can be deflected at 19 degrees.When the feed is moved at a translation distance of 75 mm and the rotation angle is 16 degrees,the beam can be deflected at 27 degree.At las twhen the three feeds are moved by-100 mm,0mm,100 mm,and the rotation angle is-22 degree,0,22 degree,it is found that the offset angle of the three beams is-20 degree,20 degree.When the three feeds are based on-75 mm,0mm,75 mm,and the rotation angle is-16 degree,0,16 degree,it is found that the offset angle of the three beams is-40 degree,40 degree.
