Switched systems are commonly used to model the multi-mode plants or hybrid control systems that use a set of controllers. The switched systems have been widely used in the field of automotive and aeronautical and space technologies.Well known that one of model predict control(MPC)advantages is to deal with the constraints on states, inputs, outputs or mixed. This paper investigates the switched MPC of a class of discrete-time switched linear systems with mode-dependent dwell time(MDT).The switching instants to be unknown a priori. The prediction model is limited to be the currently activated subsystem, which facilitates the MPC design associated individually to each subsystem.By using the reachable sets approach the minimum admissible MDT can be offline determined so as to guarantee both the persistent feasibility of MPC design and system stability. The obtained criteria have shown that the system stability is ensured as long as the persistent feasibility is ensured both within the subsystems and at the switching instants.Conditions stronger than the stability criteria are also explored to guarantee the asymptotic stability with the switched system will finally stay at one of the subsystems.By an algorithm the feasible region for given constant MDT can be determined such that the switched MPC law can be persistently solved and the resulting closed-loop system is stable or asymptotically stable. Finally, without the switched system will finally stay at one of the subsystems, the minimal admissible modal dwell time is determined such that the system stability are guaranteed in the case of detection delay of switchings.Based on the above research, the structure of this paper is roughly arranged as shown below:Chapter 1 illustrates the motivations on the research of the task, presents the current situation of the MPC and switched system.Chapter 2 show an introduction of the MPC and switched system, give the preliminaries and problem formulation.Chapter 3 show with the switched system will finally stay at one of the subsystems. And with the detective delay, the minimum admissible MDT is determined so as to guarantee asymptotically stable of MPC design, and the feasible region will be determined when given the dwell time.Chapter 4 without the switched system will finally stay at one of the subsystems. And with the detective delay, through the extended contractive set,the minimum asynchronous admissible MDT is offline determined so as to guarantee the persistent feasibility of MPC design, and the same as attractive and asymptotically stable.
