Laser has non-contact heating and higher heating efficiency characteristics which depends on material properties.Laser soldering may possible transcend traditional manufacturing methods.But the fluctuation of wavelength and frequency will largely influence the working stability.Therefore,the research will be done in a refined condition.And then gradually broaden the scope of application condition.Laser soldering has the characteristic of high efficiency which will also cause several kinds of defects,such as poor wetting,over burned,the interval or shrinkage cavities while filling,and the rigid collision during the feeding process.So the research on the mechanism of wetting process could help us improve the quality of soldering products.In addition,the quality evaluation of the laser solder joint is also valuable for production line.The quality evaluation results provide them a different angle to view the difference between the laser-soldering and the traditional methods.This subject based in the development of the laser soldering equipment and the research of processing in the Shenzhen ANEWBEST Electronic Technology Company.As soldering process being improved,the construction of the quality evaluation system for solder joint were carried out.The machine used in the research is independent designed wire-type soldering machine,including basic mechanical structure,wire transmission structure,temperature feedback and control system,CCD visual system.This paper analyzes the typical defects in the manufacturing process.The excessive burning related with flux happened on the surface of the joint or PCB substrate.The shrinkage cavities and holes in the joint were caused by the high heating or cooling speed.By designing processing curve,this subject successfully achieves the optimization of the process interval and eliminates the four typical defects in the production process,and successfully obtains the through-hole insert solder joints with good appearance and internal fusion.In addition,this studying method will also be useful in the manufacturing.The service performance of the solder joint is also studied closely in this paper.No standardized evaluation system on the quality of laser soldering was formed before.The changes of the joint in different test conditions is observed and analyzed.Also the wave soldering joints were used as comparison.Through two dimensions,laser processing effect is clearer understood,but there are much more work for new generations to do to improve the quality of solder joints.This is a good job bedding theory.Also this is the starting point for the setting up of laser soldering joint quality evaluation system.
