Research On Face Recognition Technology And Attendance System Application

With the development of science and technology,intelligent attendance system has been used more and more in enterprises,schools,institutions and other places.The attendance system based on biometric identification has especially become the focus of research.In the biometric identification methods,face recognition is a convenient,safe,accurate and user-friendly method.On the basis of analyzing and summarizing the related algorithms of face recognition,this paper designs an attendance system based on face recognition,which is to meet the attendance requirement of the Technology and Application Collaborative Innovation Center of Internet of Things in Jiangsu Province.The main work of this paper is as follows.Firstly,the basic principles of face recognition and the main methods of face detection and face recognition are introduced.The appropriate algorithm is selected according to the needs of the attendance system designed in this paper.Secondly,in order to improve the accuracy of face recognition and make full use of the characteristics of singular value vector and orthogonal matrices obtained by singular value decomposition,a two step face recognition method based on the singular value vector identification and orthogonal matrix similarity judgment is proposed in this paper.To prove the validity of the proposed method,two sets of experiments were conducted using ORL face database.Experiments results show that this method is superior to the conventional method in recognition rate,and can achieve high recognition rate without using too many training samples,so it has great practical value.Finally,the two step face recognition method based on singular value decomposition is integrated into the attendance system.Analyzing the needs of attendance system,the tools such as SQL Server 2008,Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and OpenCV2.4.10 are used to complete the database design and the implementation of attendance system.Function testing and performance testing are performed to the system.The test results show that the attendance system based on face recognition has good face recognition effect and attendance management function,meeting the requirements of the analysis.
