Recently,it has witnessed an explosive growth of intelligent devices, applications and services based on wireless communications. However, the licensed spectrum is limited and it cannot be fully utilized under the current spectrum management strategy. Therefore,an emerging wireless communication technology, cognitive radio, which can improve the spectrum utilization efficiency, has attracted a wide attention.Furthermore, the broadcast nature of the wireless transmission determines that the traditional wireless communication system which cannot achieve a high transmission rate and quality of service. Therefore, cooperative cognitive radio networks which can improve the quality of wireless transmission while improving the efficiency of spectral spectrum utilization are well worthy of study. Moreover,as a common puzzle in wireless communication systems, substantial energy supply is an important issue in cooperative cognitive radio networks. Therefore, this thesis applies simultaneously wireless information and energy transfer technology in the cooperative cognitive radio networks and considers a cooperative cognitive radio network with energy harvesting. This thesis aims to analyze the outage and secrecy outage performance of the primary user in the cooperative cognitive radio network with energy harvesting under two different cooperative strategies including amplified-forward and decode-forward from the point view of information theory.Additionally, the impact imposed by different parameters on the performance of the primary user is studied.Considering Nakagami-m fading is much closer to the practical scenario, this thesis adopts Nakagami-m fading channels. To be specific, the main contribution of this thesis can be concluded as follows:Firstly, this thesis analyzes the achievable transmission capacity of the primary user in the cooperative cognitive radio network with energy harvesting.Furthermore,it derives the corresponding closed-form expressions for the outage performance according to the definition of the outage probability.Secondly, this thesis investigates the impact imposed by different parameters on the outage performance of the system and makes a comparison among different cooperation strategies in terms of the outage probability.Thirdly, this thesis considers the physical-layer security problem of the primary user in the cooperative cognitive radio network with energy harvesting, and analyzes the achievable secrecy capacity and derives the corresponding closed-form expressions for the secrecy outage probability of the primary user.Fourthly, this thesis investigates the impact imposed by different parameters on the secrecy outage probability of the primary user and makes a comparison among different cooperation strategies.
