In recent years, the mobile communication network service has brought great changes about all aspects to human's daily lives. With the wide application of the fourth generation mobile cellular systems-4G LTE developing, the research of the fifth generation(5G)system has also been launched. As the most important component in mobile communication system, the channel coding technology has been attracted widely studied at home and abroad.Unlike the previous generation, the 5G system is not just a technology mutation, but also the basis of the wide interconnection digital society. In the near future,no matter human beings or objects, they all need mutual connection. For different times, scenes, objects, their requirements for wireless digital communication system are all different. To connect to a wide variety of end users, there are a series requirements which are 100 times data rate to connect end user,100 times devices to be connected and 1000 times mobile data to be downloaded. So far,to meet these requirements, there have been a variety of technologies and solutions, including a radio access network based Cloud which also been called Virtual RAN,an new baseband RF architecture and an new bunching method, etc. However, these methods need substantial changes for the existing 4G LTE network, and the expected effect is still in the research stage. So it is not yet possible to confirm whether these technologies or combinations can provide a complete and cost-effective solution for the 5G network. In this paper, based on the in-depth understanding of the existing 4G mobile communication system,a mobile communication system based on F-OFDM channel coding technology is designed by analyzing and comparing several new channel coding techniques. The F-OFDM is an new coding technology on the basis of the existing OFDM technology and it could add a suitable filter in each subband to weaken the out of band leakage in each subband according to the needs of differentbusiness scenarios.Matlab is used for its simulation design,Cyclone V chip is used for the realization of FPGA.Specific research work is as follows.1)Use Matlab simulation software to build system simulation platform. The whole communication baseband system is designed based on IEEE 802.11 a wireless LAN standard. And use Matlab to build simulation platform for system level and algorithm level design. At last reappraise the performance of the whole system and improve the design's algorithm of each part by the simulation results. The main index to evaluate its performance is the system's bit error rate(BER)or packet error rate(PER).2)Use Verilog HDL hardware description language to build the system framework, simulate its timing and function through Modelsim software. The F-OFDM communication system is divided into two parts which are sending apart and receiving apart. The first step is to use the Verilog HDL to build the functional modules for designing and optimizing the functional modules, and analyzing the hardware resources consumption of each module. Finally, the Modelsim software is used to simulate each module to verify the feasibility of the all communication system.
