Quantum radar is a new type of radar which applies quantum information technology to radar detection system. It is the combination of quantum information and radar technology.Quantum radar has the characteristics of anti-interference ability, small project power and high spatial resolution. We take entangled coherent states as an example to study the influence of quantum correlation on quantum radar detection, and find that quantum correlation will improve the probability of quantum radar detection. We divide our paper into five aspects: the first part is the introduction,we mainly introduce the development of quantum information science in recent years, the related research about quantum radar and our main work in this paper. In the second part,we talk about some knowledge of quantum information to make preparation for the following discuss of quantum radar. The third part is the description of the principle about the classical radar and some simple parameters. We give an account of the detailed introduction about three kinds of quantum radar, quantum illumination and the significance about the quantum radar in the fourth part.In the fifth part,we take the single photon quantum radar and quantum illumination radar as models. In the two models,we send signal photon to the target area, then calculate the detection probability of different returned photons and we find the detection probability increases with the presence of quantum entanglement. Finally,we have a brief summary of this article.
