HF surface wave radar(HF Surface Wave Radar,referred to as HFSWR)array signal processing,the direction of the processing technology is a very important research topic.In recent years,sparse array is a hot topic,its high de gree of freedom,the number of array elements,etc.,is worth studying,so the sparse array and signal processing technology,and then applied to high-frequency ground wave radar DOA estimation This improved accuracy of the incident signal becomes a resear ch hotspot.The special form of sparse arrays,similarity between the matrix and the nested array are similar,and each has the advantage,and the polarization sensitive array can improve the estimation precision by using the polarization information of the electromagnetic wave signal.Therefore,based on the study of the interdigitated array and the nested array,the sparse array and the polarization sensitive array are combined as the model,and the DOA estimation method is adopted to explore the high accuracy wave estimation method of the high frequency ground wave radar.In this paper,we first introduce the concept and model of sparse array,and introduce two special cases of sparse array-the interdigitated array and the nested array.Then we introduce the principle of traditional DOA estimation method,mainly study two kinds of subspace technology(Including the Multiple Signal Classification(MUSIC)algorithm and the Estimation of Signal Parameters via Rotational In-variance Techniques(ESPRIT)algorithm,and the above algorithm is simulated and verified by MATLAB.Analysis.Then,the DOA estimation of the interdiffusion array and the nested array is studied.First,the DOA estimation is carried out by the traditional method,and the covariance matrix is vectorized for the characteristics of the sparse array.Of the incident signal model,and then DOA estimates,to improve the accuracy of the estimate.Then,we add the algorithm of convex optimization on the basis of the improvement,and further optimize the pattern of the array.In this paper,after careful description of the algorithm and the principle of the algorithm,through MATLAB simulation of the performance of the algorithm comparison.In order to improve the estimation accuracy by using the po larization information of the electromagnetic signal,a polarized sensitive array composed of bipolar dipoles is introduced.In order to better adapt to this model,the polarized MUSIC algorithm is introduced and simulated.Then the sparse array is combine d with the polarized sensitive array.At this time,the traditional algorithm has been unable to estimate the incident direction,and the improved algorithm is used to study the performance.Finally,in order to verify the feasibility of the algorithm,the algorithm is combined with the measured data of the high frequency ground wave radar.On the basis of introducing the signal processing process of the high frequency ground wave radar,the traditional DOA estimation algorithm and the algorithm based on the mutual mass array,The improved algorithm of nested array is verified by the measured data.
