Leaky wave antenna is a kind of typical traveling wave antenna,since the last century 40 s W.W.Hansen is designed after the first leaky wave antennas,has always been one of the research hotspot in the antenna researchers,and widely used in the microwave and microwave frequencies above.Leaky wave antenna has a good ability of directional radiation characteristics and frequency scanning.by conformal treatment make the surface of both devices,It can also be used for high resolution radar,and the limited space within the local electromagnetic coverage for all kinds of mobile terminal.The leak-wave antenna was originally designed based on the metal wave guide,with the advantages of mechanical strength.But it is large,carrying difficulty,expensive,integrating difficulty.With the emergence of planar transmission line,many planar leaky wave antenna is put forward in succession,can be easily integrated in printed circuit boards,but in the high frequency spectrum there are still some problems that cannot be solved.Until the invention of the substrate integrated waveguide,the relevant research of the leak-wave antenna was greatly promoted,and its application was obtained in the wireless communication system.In this paper,the basic principle of leaky wave antennas are expounded and the research,on the basis of substrate integrated waveguide,puts forward the periodic transverse groove leaky wave antenna array,the realization of antenna miniaturization,improved the space utilization,also proposes two circular polarized space harmonic leaky wave antennas,to enhance the anti-interference ability of antenna,expand the application field of a leaky wave antenna has important research significance.The main jobs are as follows:Periodic transverse groove SIW leaky wave antennas is too long,so space utilization rate is not high.in order to improve these disadvantages,by reducing the periodic transverse groove SIW leaky wave antenna aperture number,to shorten the length of the antenna,the antenna as unit,will be in four identical unit vertically,composed of an array antenna,one through a four Wilkinson power splitters feed,in order to reduce the size of the antenna.The length of the antenna was reduced by 60 percent,and the antenna's working band was unchanged,the gain was good,and the antenna was miniaturized.This miniaturized antenna can be applied to a limited space,with limited dimensions.Periodic leaky wave antenna use the introduction of periodic disturbance,according to Fourier's theorem,the periodic disturbance can produce thousands of space harmonic,as long assome of the space harmonic is fast wave,then the leaky wave antennas can be achieved in slow wave mode.In order to improve the anti-interference ability of space harmonic leaky wave antenna,the design of the two circular polarized space harmonic leaky wave antennas,including the cycle H groove space harmonic leaky wave antennas,and cycle cross slot space harmonic leaky wave antennas.The two circular polarized space harmonic wave antenna leakage due to high work frequency band,so the structure is more compact,easy to integrate,and have good directivity,can realize to quadrant after frequency scanning features,can be circularly polarized radiation,not easily affected by the earth's magnetic field and the weather.The above antenna is tested and verified the feasibility and accuracy of the model.
