In recent years,along with the research and development of optical networks,more and more people begin to pursue higher quality,faster and better performance when surging,which drives the occurrence of high capacity and cost-effective optical fiber transmission technology.Flexible optical network is a novel network to support flexible spectrum combination.It introduces the concept of frequency slots,and full spectrum in a fiber is divided into multiple slots with 25 GHz,12.5GHz or even smaller 6.25 GHz spectrum.According to the bandwidth requirement of a demand,multiple frequency slots are allocated to effectively improve the utilization of the optical bandwidth,and thus reduce the capital expenditures of an optical network.In this paper,an optimal cost model for IP/MPLS-over-EON is proposed.Based on the model,two path segmentation routing schemes are presented: the adaptive and the heuristic.The adaptive scheme enumerates every intermediate node of a path one by one to choose the path-segment point,in which an IP router will be placed to minimize the cost of the path.The heuristic scheme implements path segmentation by setting a specific distance.When the distance is reached,a router will be placed for path segmentation.Numerical results demonstrate: comparing with the scheme of no path segmentation,the routing scheme of path segmentation can lower the total network cost effectively for medium and high load traffic profiles;it is because for medium and high load traffic profiles,more traffic need to and can be groomed in intermediate nodes with IP routers being placed in intermediate nodes.At the same time,we design the adaptive scheme and the heuristic path segmentation scheme,and propose a multi-path segmentation technique.The design of the scheme is based on multiple adaptive path segmentation scheme and λ-HMA path segmentation scheme,and the cost optimization of the two schemes in the construction of elastic optical network carrying information is studied.Through the simulation analysis,the best use of different programs.
