As most of IoT applications involve user's privacy data,protecting the security of the IoT applications becomes a top priority during the development of IoT technology.What's more,now many of the IoT applications are applied in mobile environment,so the traditional way to ensure the security of data transmission with the help of a security gateway is not applicable.This thesis puts out a lightweight solution with the key point of Io T end-to-end security.Firstly,this thesis proposes an end-to-end security mechanism in Internet of things based on the existing Internet standard protocols and DTLS security protocol.The security mechanism can realize confidentiality,integrity and responsibility protection when transmite data,can also complete a two-way authentication between client and server.Then this thesis has implemented and verified the security mechanism on a sensor node platform,results show that the end-to-end security mechanism based on DTLS indeed has low cost and high interoperability.As sensor nodes in IoT are general resource-constrained,deploying DTLS security protocol seems slightly inefficient.This thesis selects the 6LoWPAN header compression to compress the DTLS headers and handshake messages in wireless sensor network after the comparison of several existing compression methods.And the method to complete lightweight DTLS on resource-constrained nodes is given.Finally,this thesis have implemented and validated the lightweight end-to-end security mechanism on sensor node platform,the results show that this lightweight security mechanism can effectively reduce packet length,and memory footprint and energy consume are greatly reduced.
