Wireless laser communication is a technology that uses the laser beam as a channel which transmission voice,data,image information in the space,and it is also a large capacity and high speed communication technology.Acquisition,Pointing and Tracking(APT)system is the important part of the wireless laser communication system,and it is the premise and foundation of the wireless laser communication.The main purpose of the acquisition work is to make the communication both sides capture each other's beacon light,in order to lay the foundation for the following pointing and tracking work.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1)This paper studies the method of building the experimental platform of wireless laser communication APT system,and discusses the main performance index of the system.The main performance indexes of the system are the acquisition of the uncertain area,the acquisition time and the acquisition probability.Detailed description of the structure of the initial acquisition system in wireless laser communication APT system and the related acquisition technology,and make an analysis of the acquisition process.(2)The initial acquisition system working process is that both communication sides were fixed.First using the global positioning system(GPS)to locate the communication both sides and begin to initial direction.Then aided by GSM/GPRS communication module,through the control of servo turntable,make the beacon laser light spot of the communication both sides covering each other to establish the communication link between the communication both sides.(3)The initial acquisition system was verified by many field experiments.According to the working process of the system,the feasibility of the system was verified by the experimental results.Many field experiments results show that initial acquisition system has successfully completed the initial acquisition work,the communication both sides capture each other's beacon light beam.In the experiment,the communication both sides are separately located in the two high-rise building which apart about 1300 meters.
