In the complex environment, the characteristics of high frequency electric wave propagation is an important basis and source of electromagnetic environment data for electronic reconnaissance, radio communication, radar countermeasure and military radio system.Facing the difficult problem of dealing with complex atmospheric structure and irregular terrain, many traditional electromagnetic wave numerical methods can not meet the requirements, the parabolic equation(PE)model based on split-step Fourier transform algorithm,is the relatively loose and is currently the most effective way to deal with this problem. The content of thesis reearch includes the following:(1)It describes the process of deriving the model of Maxwell's equations in detail, and obtains the wide angle and narrow angle PE models using different approximation methods for Pseudo differential operators.(2)The solving PE model of the split-step Fourier transform algorithm algorithm is analyzed and explained in detail, and the feasibility of the model is verified by the method of double ray.The initial field and boundary condition of the wave propagation model are discussed, and the solving process of the discrete mixed Fourier transform algorithm is analyzed.(3)It solves the radio waves propagation problem in the complex path, and introduces(PE)two-way model that solves the case have undulating terrain on radio wave propagation paths.Using PE model to solve the problem of high frequency radio wave propagation in the surface waveguide and the suspended waveguide.Through the example simulation analysis found that: Firstly,When solving the radio waves propagation problem in the complex path, the closer the distance from the transmitting antenna, the PE model is larger than other classical methods to calculate the propagation loss. But,the computing results agree very well at a distance. So it can improve accuracy combined with different hybrid solution method in the actual solving process;Secondly, the loss that the propagation of radio waves in the atmosphere is smaller than that in other regions, which provides an important theoretical basis for the study of the propagation of over-the-horizon propagation.
