In recent years, with the energy crisis and environmental pollution problems becoming increasingly serious, more and more countries realize the importance to the development and utilization of renewable energy. In the field of communications, renewable energy base station development research has drawn significant interest.More and more researches begin to study resource allocation in hybrid energy base station, which is powered by renewable energy. However,in the far and/or poor environment, the energy harvesting base station, which harvests energy from environment,is more useful. For the energy harvesting base station, when the spectrum and energy is limited, how to allocate resources effectively and improve users' quality of service and the base station's revenue,is a question worthy of study. This thesis considers the condition that energy and spectrum is very limited,a wireless network, which is deployed with energy harvesting base stations, needs to allocate resources as effectively as possible, while providing users with higher quality of service and improving users' fairness. This thesis is mainly on the following two aspects.Firstly,we investigate joint resource allocation with energy harvesting base stations in two adjacent cells.Optimal energy and spectrum cooperative allocation is investigated for the downlink of two cells deployed with energy harvesting base stations. In particular, the joint maximization of the users' utilities and the base stations' revenues in two adjacent cells is considered. This thesis uses Stackelberg game method to solve the energy and spectrum allocation problem in each cell.At the same time, because of the uneven distribution of population in rural and remote mountainous areas, the optimal method based on the exhaustive search is proposed to solve base station scheduling the users to select the cell.Because the exhaustive search method has high complexity,a computationefficient method in which the base stations can schedule the users to join appropriate cell based on the channel gain ratio is proposed.Simulation results have shown that the proposed method has close utility and revenue performances with the optimal exhaustive search method.Secondly,we investigate joint resource allocation with energy harvesting base stations in mutiple adjacent cells. The system model of the previous work can not solve the problem of users' fairness and base station revenue in mutiple adjacent cells. Therefore, the user cell selection method based on the multi-cell channel gain ratio is proposed, which is redefined by the user's utility function and the base station's utility function. The user cell selection method based on the multi-cell channel gain ratio also solves the problem that the user selects the cell quickly, improves the users' fairness effectively and increases the revenue of the base station. The simulation results show that the user cell selection method based on the multi-cell channel gain ratio has good users' fairness and the average base station's revenue, compared to the user cell selection method based on the maximum channel gain and the user cell selection method based on the shortest distance.
