With the rapid development of computer technology,the applied scope of intelligent service robot has been greatly developed.The purpose of this paper is to build a platform for intelligent service robot with open structure,basic function support,portability,scalability and simple operation.The combination of intelligent service robots and platform not only enhances the ability of robots to perceive environmental information and decision-making,but also improves the reliability of intelligent services.The platform not only can be used as the foundation of intelligent service robot research,but also can provide the basic idea for other intelligent fields.The platform has strong research meaning and great development space.The platform can help the intelligent service robots complete the work better and help the user schedule the robot properly.The platform can also help the user monitor the movement of the robot so that intelligent service robot can work in the best condition.The platform studied in this paper includes two aspects.One is the underlying embedded operating system and the other one is the upper server system.The embedded operating system of the bottom layer has improved the limitation of the traditional robot system and customized the embedded operating system with high flexibility for the intelligent service robot.The upper-level server system mainly implements the scheduling and monitoring of the intelligent service robot,designs a friendly human-computer interaction interface,simplifies the operation of the platform,and shows the running status of the intelligent service robot clearly.The main functions of the server system are: the path planning and task package sending,the choice of communication mode,the design of communication protocol and the design of database.In this paper,the path planning approach combines realistic factors and existing algorithms,designs a way to avoid collisions with obstacles.In the aspect of communication,this paper has developed a unique application protocol for the intelligent service robot,which helps the robot to feedback the running information comprehensively and helps the user to grasp the working status of the robot in real time.In this paper,the experimental results verified the correctness of the platform functions.The human-computer interactive interface can response operations efficiently and stably.In this platform,the server system can grasp the movement state of the robot in real time,and the intelligent service robot can work with the server system stably.The platform has practical application significance.
