Research On Automatic Classification Algorithm Of Fingerprint

Fingerprint identification technology is one of the most widely used technologies in biometric identification,and is widely used in various authentication and identification.At present,there are many algorithms about fingerprint identification technology,and there are more commercial products and research results of automatic fingerprint identification system,which cannot meet the requirements of some specific applications.Therefore,Automatic Fingerprint Classification has always been the hot spot of researches conducted by domestic and international researchers.The automatic of fingerprints is the core technology of the Automated Fingerprint Identification System.The automatic classification of the fingerprint,not only plays an important role in the narrow fingerprint object search range,but also largely improves the efficiency of match in the fingerprint identification.This thesis is about the research on the Algorithm of Automatic Fingerprint Classification,mainly covering the following work:1.The general introduction of the development of fingerprint classification is made.The literature review and analysis of the current development and a number of problems in the technology of Automatic Fingerprint Classification at home and abroad are made.2.This thesis expounds the basic principle of fingerprint identification and the related methods of fingerprint classification.This thesis introduces the collection of fingerprint,including the introduction of fingerprint sensor,the structure of automatic fingerprint identification system and the performance evaluation index of automatic fingerprint identification system.3.The thesis presents the process of information extraction in fingerprint and quality evaluation for classification of fingerprint image.It expounds the approaches of feature extraction for fingerprint which includes the method for extraction of singular point,processing method of singularity detection and analysis of the result.It presents the approaches of automatic fingerprint classification as well.Finally,it introduces the fingerprint classification algorithm,namely the introduction of multi-stage classification algorithm,and gives experimental analysis of the classification algorithm at length.4.Finally,a summary and outlook of the work done in this dissertation are given,in which depicts the prospective direction of related filed.
