The netted radar has good stability and excellent anti-jamming ability for detection, which can overcome traditional limitation in monostatic radar. These advantages are becoming increasingly apparent in modern electronic warfare. As a result, netted radar has become a development trendency of novel radar system.Optimal waveform design in netted radar is discussed in this paper, which.aims at enhancing detection performance including anti-jamming ability, recognition ability and estimation ability. The article is organized as follows. In the first part, the model of netted radar with fusion center is organized. The phase-coded signal that minimizes the integrated sidelobe level and constrain interference spectrum is organized for traditional point target.Besides, the wideband signal for extended target detection is formulated based on impulse response model. In the second part, considering the same frequency interference and mutual interference, the optimization problem that minimize the integrated sidelobe level as well as suppressing the congested spectrum is formulated. The mathematical problem is formed by the fusion center to suppress mutural interference between radars and sparse spectrum. The objective function incorporating the idea of majorization-minimization is derived,by reformulating the original optimization problem as a convex optimization problem. The waveform for improving target recognition ability is designed by solving this reformulated problem.Simulations demonstrate the designed waveform can obtain low integrated sidelobe level and sparse spectrum in these suppressed bands. Finally, considering the urgent requirement for the combination of recognition and estimation for specific target, waveform for recognition ability and waveform for estimation ability are both designed in the view of networking fusion. Then, the total transmit power is reasonably allocated by the fusion center to design waveform for target detection. The optimization problem to minimize mean mquare error for target estimate precision is formulated. The waveform for ensuring the precision of target estimation is designed by solving the problem using the Lagrange multiplier method. The optimization problem which maximize signal to clutter plus noise ratio for target recognition is formulated. The waveform for improving the ability of target recognition is designed by solving the problem using the gradient projection method. The fusion algorithm is designed by associating estimate precision with recognition ability in the dichotomy frame based on the power allocation function of fusion center.Simulations demonstrate the designed waveform can achieve better detection performance than traditional waveform.Additionally, the fusion algorithm has advantages over algorithms with single optimization criteria.
