With the increase of intelligent mobile terminals and the growth of user communication data traffic, the mobile communication network is facing two major challenges: inter-cell interference and energy efficiency. With cellular network coverage radius reduction and a large number of low power nodes deployment, intercell interference problem is becoming more and more serious. At the same time, the energy consumption of the system increase quickly, which has been brought the huge pressure to communications services company and environmental protection, so research for interference coordination and optimization effectiveness has practical significance. Soft Frequency Reuse(SFR) has high spectrum utilization rate, which is currently research widely for interference coordination. Therefore, in this paper, we will focus on analyzing the soft frequency reuse technology and researching its energy efficiency optimization algorithm. The specific research works in this paper as follows:Firstly, this paper reviews research status of 5G wireless communication network architecture in domestic and foreign, sorting out the 5G system may use the key technologies, and attempts to construct a model of 5G network architecture, analyze the inter-cell interference in the network and application scenario of SFR; then the key technologies of SFR are analyzed and the advantages of adaptive soft frequency reuse technology are proposed.Secondly, this paper investigates multi-cell energy efficiency optimization algorithm based on soft frequency reuse technology. Soft frequency reuse efficiency optimization is mostly based on the single cell in the current research. In order to improve the performance of system interference coordination and energy efficiency, the multi-cell system energy efficiency optimization with adaptive soft frequency reuse are researched. This paper constructed system energy efficiency optimization problem as a fractional programming, which is difficult to solve directly, Therefore, We use continuous convex approximation, Lagrange duality and KKT condition to transfer the fractional programming into a series of a convex optimization problems which are easy to solve. Finally, a gradient iteration algorithm based on convex optimization theory is proposed to allocate power for each user in the cell to maximize the system efficiency. Simulation results show that the energy efficiency optimization algorithm of multi-cell system in this paper, the system throughput and system energy efficiency have been improved, compared to the traditional single cell energy efficiency optimization algorithm.
