Obstacle-avoidance laser radar was initially applied in military filed.With the advancement of the society,it has been widely applied in people's daily life.After referring to relevant information,I found that Chinese vehicle automatic obstacle avoidance techniques show the defects,including low precision of identification,failure to identify the full profile of an obstacle,and others.Therefore,the paper is to study the basic principles and scanning methods of obstacle-avoidance laser radar,and to design a core engine of plane-array-based obstacle-avoidance laser radar,point cloud is reconstructed to transfer one-dimensional laser beam into 2D laser beam.aiming to identify the external profile of an obstacle.The core engine of the obstacle-avoidance laser radar described in the paper can be divided into two major parts,the light source module and the plane reflection array.Firstly,the overall plan of the optical system and the mechanical system was designed;secondly,the 3D software,CATIA and Creo1.0,was utilized to design the mechanical structure of the system and to design and select parts used in other systems;lastly,the experimental platform of the system was constructed to reconstruct point cloud,to converse one-dimensional laser beam into two-dimensional laser beam,and to scan external profiles of different obstacle.It has been found by analyzing the experimental results that the core engine of the obstacle-avoidance laser radar designed in the paper identifies obstacles effectively,and the point cloud has been reconstructed to transfer one-dimensional laser beam into 2D laser beam.
