Cultural relics are the treasure of human preserved in the course of human social development.All kinds of cultural relics from different sides reflect the various historical periods of human social activities,social relations and the status of the ecological environment at that time,which is a valuable historical and cultural heritage of mankinds.With the passage of time,most of the cultural relics are subject to varying degrees of natural and man-made destruction.The work of traditional cultural relics protection mainly relies on experienced people to analyze the cultural relics,and the technical requirement of the staff is high,and it's easy to cause further damage to cultural relics.To avoid that,it's now the main problem that how to extract the effective information of cultural relics in a safety way.In this paper,we use the hyperspectral imaging technology to imaging the cultural relics of the National Palace Museum.Using the self-developed imaging spectrometer,in the visible and short-wave infrared scanning bands,we could get hyperspectral image data.Using the spectral analysis technology,we could extract the hidden information of the cultural relics,which could for cultural relics protection,repairing and identification provide a new way.The study mainly includes the following work:(1)Build the cultural relics pigments spectrum library.With the help of the Museum of Palace,we use the point spectroscopy imaging spectrometer in the laboratory to measure the spectral information of the pigments.At the same time we combine with the existing pigment database,for the building of the cultural relics pigments spectrum library to provide support.(2)The extraction of the cultural relics pigments.In the view of the pigments involved in the artifacts,with the hyperspectral image data,we use a variety of spectral matching technology to identify the types of pigments.In the process of extraction,we find a variety of pigment mixing situation,affecting the pigment identification accuracy.Using the spectral separation model,we can separate the mixed pigments,and get the mixing ratio of different pigments,which can contribute to the repairing of cultural relics.(3)The extraction of the cultural relics hidden information.The hidden information of the cultural relics is the weak information contained in the cultural relics,which mainly includes the smearing information at the time of painting,the hidden text information and the later repair information.The hidden information may be related to the situation when the relics are made,and it can provide clues for us to inquire into the deep information of the cultural relics.In this paper,we use the layered stripping technology and information technology to enhance the extraction of hidden information in the paintings.
