Mobile cloud computing(MCC) is the integration of cloud computing technology and mobile computing, which greatly enhances the efficient transmission and processing capacity of Internet data, by offloading the complex processing tasks from mobile device terminals to servers located in cloud data centers. Mobile cloud computing resource scheduling is a key issue that affects the quality-of-service(QoS) of mobile users and the effective use of cloud resources. Resource reserving in advance for mobile cloud computing can significantly save resource provisioning cost of the cloud service providers. However, the uncertain feature of consumers' demands for resources cause some difficulties for reservation. Moreover, unlike traditional cloud computing, the radio bandwidth resources in access terminal and the cloud virtual resources allocated to mobile users should be carried out a united resource deployment and a joint optimization control scheme in mobile cloud computing system.Firstly, this article briefly introduces the basic principle, system architecture and key technologies of mobile cloud computing, and analysis the research significance of mobile cloud computing resource provisioning, and presents the theory of resource reservation provisioning and the related research development in detail.Next, according to the dual influence of radio bandwidth resources for access network and cloud virtual resources on the QoS of mobile users, this article analysis the correction between radio bandwidth resource allocation and cloud virtual resource allocation, and establishes a joint optimization function between the two types of resources. And then, in the case that the probability distribution of mobile user's resoorce demand is known, the reservation problem in mobile cloud computing is formulated as a two-stage stochastic programming model with compensation mechanism, based on which a Stochastic Joint resource Reservation and Allocation algorithm for Mobile Cloud Computing(SJRA-MCC) is proposed. By matching the reservation of radio bandwidth resources and cloud virtual resources, and matching the allocation of the two types of resources, and minimizing the resource provisioning cost, the algorithm realizes the global optimal provisioning of the radio bandwidth resources and cloud virtual resources.Thirdly, in view of the resource reservation problem in the worst scenario of actual situation, when the probability distribution of user demand is unable to be predicted, a robust joint reservation optimization model with constraint control coefficients is proposed, which can effectively deal with the fluctuation effect caused by the uncertainty of user demand, and improve the robustness of the model solution. And then a Dynamic Robust Joint resource Reservation and Allocation algorithm for Mobile Cloud Computing(DRJRA-MCC) is designed, which uses a dynamic period detection method to realize the real-time and flexibility of resource allocation, and improve the service capacity of the system.Simulation results validate that both SJRA-MCC and DRJRA-MCC can effectively reduce the resource provisioning cost of the system, which can not only ensure the users' quality of service, but also improve the system's resource utilization. DRJRA-MCC can show better adaptability performance when the fluctuation range of user demand information is larger.
