Fog computing is deployed between the edge sensing network and the cloud data center,it is mainly composed of the edge servers which can carry out lightweight computing.These edge servers can be traditional network devices with limited computing and storage capabilities,such as base stations,routers,switches,etc.It can also be local servers that are specifically deployed near the location of the edge sensing network.Fog computing can migrate some functions of the edge sensing devices and cloud data centers,such as providing limited distributed computing,storing,networking capacity and paying attention to the communication and interaction between the nodes of the edge fog equipment.As a supplement and extension of cloud computing,which focuses on centralized data storage and computing,fog computing can solve the problems of heavy burden for storing and computing at cloud servers,the pressure of transmission bandwidth in the network and long delay for responding the requirement from the edge terminal devices.And it can also well support the requirements of Mobile and Localized applications from the edge terminal devices.Fog computing has many advantages compared with cloud computing,and has been paid attention to and studied by many scholars and companies since it was put forward.However,as a frontier of academic research,fog computing has not yet formed a unified standard in the academic community at present.But in the background of the rapid development of Internet of things and big data,the fog computing will be widely used in many areas(such as Health Care,Smart Grid,Smart Home,Internet of Vehicles,etc.)in the near future.This paper mainly focuses on study the energy consumption optimization of fog computing in the health care.After general architecture model and typical application scenarios of fog computing analysis,the energy consumption problem of fog computing in the health care is proposed.Based on the theoretical analysis,mathematical models are established for the optimization of the energy consumption.The feasibility of energy consumption optimization strategy of fog computing is verified by MATLAB simulation.The main contents and contributions of this paper are as follows:(1)Aiming at the excessive energy consumption problem of cloud computing,this paper puts forward fog computing for health care,the fog computing architecture for health care is also proposed.In the further optimization of fog computing energy consumption for health care,a load balancing strategy of fog task is proposed.(2)In the energy consumption optimization study of fog computing task load balancing strategy,taking computation and transmission energy consumption into account,the fog task energy consumption without time delay and with upper bound of time delay is modeled respectively.The PSO algorithm and the improved MPSO algorithm are applied to the optimal search of the load balancing task.Finally,the MATLAB simulation is given.(3)Due to fog computing task needs to be distributed to other fog equipment in the load balancing strategy of fog computing,the optimization of communication energy consumption for fog equipment is proposed to study.Power amplifier,as the main energy consumption part in the communication of fog equipment,a new predistortion method is proposed to improve the linearity of the power amplifier,which can achieve the purpose of optimizing the communication energy consumption of fog equipment.
