With the development of mobile communication technology,users expect to access wireless network at any time and place,and obtain high quality wireless services.In order to meet the user's expectations,the wireless network architecture is more and more complex,the network deployment is more and more intensive,and the energy consumption and the cost of the network are also rising.Under the premise of ensuring the high speed transmission of user services,how to reduce the network energy consumption and the cost,is becoming more and more urgent.The traditional network performance evaluation index includes the spectrum efficiency and energy efficiency which can be used to evaluate the gain of various network optimization techniques,but they are not effective to evaluate the cost of increasingly intensive heterogeneous base stations.So it is very important to design an improved network performance evaluation index.In this paper,the performance characteristics of the heterogeneous wireless access networks are studied.A new method for evaluating the power allocation of heterogeneous wireless access networks is proposed.The main work and innovations of this paper include:Firstly,the power consumption model of wireless communication is analyzed,and the performance evaluation metrics of wireless network are summarized.Combined with the defects of existing evaluation metrics,a heterogeneous access network performance evaluation metric considering the cost efficiency and energy efficiency,access node and user is proposed.The metric evaluates heterogeneous access network performance from three aspects:cost,energy efficiency and user performance.And it is not only an increase in the network performance evaluation considerations,but also closely combined with the future of the network development trend which is more intensive,higher cost and better user experience.Compared to the existing performance evaluation index,the new metric has more advantages and more practical significance.Through analysis and verification,the new index can well reflect the increase of user performance and cost when network is becoming more and more intensive.Then,in a double-layer heterogeneous access network scenario,the target function is presented,the transmit power of the base station is optimized and the power allocation algorithm is proposed.The feasibility and convergence of the algorithm are verified by the complexity analysis and simulation.In this paper,the cost efficiency performance evaluation index is proposed,which provides a comprehensive and reasonable evaluation method for the heterogeneous access networks.At the same time,the proposed power optimization algorithm provides an optimal power allocation method for the heterogeneous access networks.
